Bridging the Gap: Homeowner and Contractor Interface
During a personal project of designing and selecting items for a house, I discovered a significant gap between homeowners and contractors. Navigating numerous decisions, ensuring a cohesive design, and maintaining organized project management can be overwhelming. To address this, I developed an intuitive interface that serves as a centralized, constantly updated file—allowing homeowners, designers, and contractors to stay aligned.
This tool simplifies the decision-making process by providing a shared platform where design intent is clearly documented, and progress can be tracked in real-time. It enables users to share designs with other designers, friends, family, and contractors, both digitally and in person at stores. This helps skip confusion about what needs to go where and ensures everyone has a consistent understanding, reducing miscommunication on large-scale projects. Ultimately, it fosters collaboration, clarity, and confidence throughout the entire home renovation journey.
